FloAdvisor #12: Tips to protect your Skin in Aruba
Skin always reflect our health, from inside to outside. When we undergo a lot of stress, and are tired, or eat badly, skin reflects our physical state, it will look opaque. Same happens when our emotions are unbalanced, skin will not look heathy. The same happens when we travel, stress from travelling can also reflect on our skin.
For your next trip to Aruba you have to know that it is has a dry tropical climate, it is semi-desert, hot and arid, with temperature around 27 °C. This means that your body will be exposed to temperature you are probably not used to. And we go do go to Aruba in search of sun, heat and to live different experiences.
How can we protect our skin if we want to go to Aruba?
If we expose our skin to sun and heat, we can experience unfavorable effects. You can spend a lot of money in creams to keep your skin hydrated, but without drinking water or consuming the right food that will nurture your skin; your trip to Aruba may end up drying your skin. If you do not protect it, it will be more exposed to dryness.
We recommend that to keep your skin looking beautiful, so you should:
- Hydrate it: Body is composed of 65 to 75% of water. Aruba has a dry climate, without the constant consumption of water; this can dry your skin. So it is important to keep body and skin permanently hydrated.
- Nutrition: a good nutrition is important and experimenting with new flavors is part of the Aruba experience. To keep your skin hydrated and healthy, make sure that you eat food that include the following: cucumber, tomatoes, carrots, green leafy vegetables, avocado, papaya, watermelon, melon, mango, grapefruit, coconut water, orange juice, dark chocolate and yogurt.
- Protection: use the right protective cream for your skin type. Avoid using products with alcohol or perfume (cologne, deodorants, antiperspirant), because they can stain your skin. It is not difficult to look after your skin from the inside to the outside.
Just follow our advice and we can assure you that your stay in Aruba will be reflected by your skin!
