Aloe Vera is a very common plant in Aruba. The crystal of the Aloe Vera is used a lot in beauty treatment. Combining the crystal with the liquid gold of the gods, which is how the Egyptians called the honey, you will have an exceptional mixture to rehydrate your skin.

Honey has the property to be antiseptic and the ability to absorb moisture from the air and hydrate your skin. Egyptians, Greeks and Mayas considered it sacred. After three thousand years, honey kept in vases, haven been found in ancient Egyptian tombs, still in perfect conditions.

Also cave paintings have registered its use. It also has the ability to preserve; this is why Cleopatra used it, combined with donkey milk, for her beauty bath. Ancient Egypt also used Aloe Vera in their beauty treatments.

Aloe Vera’s crystals are packed with vitamins that stimulates regeneration of new cells, which helps to erase and prevent wrinkles. Also eliminates acne without leaving scars.

Like honey, Aloe Vera hydrates skin. It has many medical properties. This is why Egyptians called it the plant of immortality.

Combining the plant of immortality with the liquid gold of the gods will leave us with a very powerful composition to rehydrate and nourish our skin.

The face mask of the gods:

• 1 table spoon of honey
• 1 crystal of Aloe Vera (3 inches)

Cut the Aloe Vera leaf and let it drain the brown liquid called aloin. Remove thorns from the sides of the leaf. Cut one of the skins of the leaf. With a spoon remove the gel by scraping it off. Combine both ingredients (honey and Aloe Vera) in a blender.

With the back of a spoon apply on face and neck. Avoid eyes, eyebrows and nostrils. Let it work on your skin for 15 min. Wash off with warm water and you will see how radiant and beautiful your skin will look!
